Google controls over 90% of search queries in Europe, practically the same as before the Digital Markets Act.

Omissions

• The MEP did not acknowledge that Google's market share has actually decreased since the DMA was implemented, dropping below 90% for the first time since 2015 according to Search Engine Land (January 2025).
• The claim omits that recent data shows Google's share at around 87.5% (Statcounter, Apr 2025-Apr 2026), not over 90%.
