• The Lebanon figure cited by the MEP (>150) is accurate but significantly understated - actual figure is 329 children killed according to UNICEF
• The Iran figure of 300 appears to be an overestimate - UNICEF reported 216 children killed in Iran as of March 2026
• The Palestinian figure of >21,000 is accurate with UNICEF reporting 21,289 children killed as of early February 2026
• The MEP could not have known the UNICEF March 2026 publication at the time of the speech (March 25, 2026) but could have cited earlier data showing similar trends
