The Netherlands implemented comprehensive restrictions (production, sale, purchase and possession) following a legislative amendment announced on 9 December 2019.
Sweden's law limiting access to nitrous oxide entered into force on 1 July 2025, prohibiting sale when there is reason to believe it will be used for intoxication.
