The causal description in the claim ('ramming by a boat of drug traffickers') is imprecise for the May 2026 incident: the two agents died when the Civil Guard patrol boat 'Río Antas' and a rigid-hulled inflatable boat, both belonging to the Guardia Civil, collided during the pursuit of the narcolancha. However, RTVE (15 May 2026) reports that the Guardia Civil was still searching for the narcolancha that 'caused' the accident, so the traffickers' boat is implicated as the trigger.
