The 62 procurement agreements signed under SAFE between 28 and 30 May 2026 are worth around 120 billion PLN (approximately €28 billion), not over €40 billion; the €40bn+ figure corresponds to Poland's overall SAFE loan allocation (€43.7bn), which is a single loan agreement, not the sum of the contracts.
The €43.7 billion is a loan envelope (funding Poland may borrow over four years), distinct from the value of the contracts actually signed with industry so far.
The figures available reflect the state of play as of late May / early June 2026; the session date is 16 September 2026, so the MEP may have been referring to a later state of play that could not be verified with the sources found.
