• The figure of 1.2 million displaced refers to the renewed hostilities that began on 2 March 2026, not the 2024 conflict. By March 19, 2026, OCHA reported over 1.2 million people displaced, including 134,439 IDPs in 636 shelters. The figure continued to be cited in late April 2026 reports.
• The 1.2 million figure represents people displaced by the 2026 escalation specifically; cumulative displacement figures from all Israeli-Lebanon conflicts would be different.
