• The 135 million figure is the number of people 'targeted' / 'aimed to be assisted' under the 2026 appeal, not a forecast of the number actually reached; actual reach depends on funding received.
• By mid-2026 the GHO figures had been revised upward (to about 256 million people in need and 147 million targeted) after new emergencies, whereas the MEP cited the launch figures (December 2025).
• The GHO also notes that, at the same time, almost 87 million people's lives are at stake (life-threatening needs), a context the claim does not mention.
