The regime in Iran was elected Vice-Chair of the UN Commission for Social Development on the same day (two days ago from the session date)

Omissions

• The MEP omits that Iran was elected alongside other Vice-Chairs including Azerbaijan (Shahriyar Hajiyev), and that Portugal (Stefano Guerra) was elected Chair.
• The election was by acclamation without objections, which is standard UN practice for such organizational positions.
