• Turkey (Türkiye) is still formally a candidate country, but its accession negotiations have been frozen since 2018/2019 with no new chapters opened or closed since then.
• Kosovo is listed as a potential candidate, not yet an official candidate country.
• The European Commission's 2025 Enlargement Package reports on nine candidate countries including Turkey.
