Omissions

• The 1.5 million figure conflates internally displaced Lebanese with the approximately 1.5 million Syrian refugees residing in Lebanon; these are distinct populations
• The highest verified figure for Lebanese IDPs from the 2024 conflict was approximately 1 million (WHO, October 2024), with IOM reporting 350,000 IDPs as of late September 2024
• IDP numbers decreased significantly by early 2025, with ReliefWeb reporting 890,830 IDPs had returned home and only 98,986 remained displaced as of February 2025
