An alternative methodology (Cebia, based on vehicles actually passing STK inspections) puts the average age of cars in actual operation lower, at ~13.79 years; the ~16.5-year figure reflects the officially registered fleet, which is the standard statistic used by SDA and the Czech Statistical Office.
