• The actual headcount is higher than claimed: Renault Group's official site lists 3,124 employees at the Cléon plant as of 31 December 2025, i.e. more than 2,500 (the claim understates the figure, but since it is a lower-bound claim, 'more than 2,500' is accurate).
• The figure covers all employees of the Cléon site; the claim refers to 'Normands' (people from Normandy), and the plant is located in Normandy, so the two scopes are broadly consistent.
• Earlier sources show the plant had higher headcounts in the past (e.g. ~3,228–3,300 employees in the early 2020s, and over 5,000 several years ago), so the figure has declined over time while remaining above 2,500.
