The claim's ranking is imprecise: according to the European Parliament's own briefing (EPRS, 2025), the largest EU contributors to Ukraine are Germany, followed by France, Italy and the Netherlands — Finland is not in that group, so calling Finnish taxpayers one of 'the main payers' overstates Finland's role in absolute terms.
Finland is a significant contributor only in relative terms (share of GDP); in that ranking Estonia, Denmark, Norway, Lithuania and Latvia generally exceed Finland, a nuance the claim omits.
